Pre Masters courses are intended primarily for international students who wish to progress to postgraduate study at UK universities. They prepare students for higher level study and will usually combine studies in a specific subject area with other elements, including:

• Study skills

• Research skill

• Academic writing

• Presentation skills

• English language

Students who successfully complete the Interactive Design Institute’s Pre Masters in Design will gain certification from the University of Hertfordshire.

Pre Masters courses are suited to international students who have already completed a degree or higher diploma, and who wish to progress to a Masters course

They may also be suited to UK students who have completed a degree in one subject area and who wish to transfer to Masters courses in another subject.

An honours degree or equivalent qualification. Applications are also welcomed from those with a lower qualification and relevant professional experience. For those whose first language is not English, IELTS at 6.5 or equivalent is required.

Students who successfully complete a Pre Masters course may progress to a wide range of Masters courses at universities throughout the UK.

Students who successfully complete the Interactive Design Institute’s Pre Masters in Design are guaranteed entry to Masters courses in Design at the University of Hertfordshire.
