Art Everywhere

No, not another post about Street Art … well, not quite. Apparently plans are afoot to turn the UK into the world’s largest art gallery.

This will be achieved by using thousands and thousands of hoardings and poster sites to host 50 of the nation’s most popular artworks as chosen by the British public.

The Art Everywhere initiative is the brainchild of Richard Reed; co-founder of the inspirational “Innocent Drinks” company and will take place between the 10th and 25th August 2013. Also involved are The Tate, The Art Fund, the poster industry and several notable artists. Further details of the 100 works that comprise the long list will be published online across the coming months.

We’d be really interested in hearing about what you would choose and why. Personally, I’d be in favour of anything by David Hockney; big, bold and bright.
