Steampunk

We love a bit of reclaimed furniture design. That’s why we’re pretty enthused by this latest collection from Axel Yberg whose designer furniture is manufactured from recycled iron pipes of the steam and plumbing variety. Incorporating steel framed, reclaimed timbers, cement, glass and natural edged wood, Yberg’s stuff is an intriguing mixture of fantasy, futuristic design and home spun, retro fixtures and fittings… but it works as a whole.

Entitled, “The Steam Collection” Yberb states that his work was inspired by the sub-genre of science fiction called Steampunk. Well worth a visit to his website: http://www.akke780.com/steampunk/sidetable_1.html
