Course Duration
You can choose to study:
- Part Time - 4 Semesters (64 weeks) equivalent to a commitment of around 15 hours per week at times that suit you.
- Full Time - 2 Semesters (32 weeks) equivalent to a commitment of around 30 hours per week, at times that suit you.
If you begin your studies on a full time basis and feel that this is too much for you, you can change to part time within four weeks. If you begin your studies on a part time basis, you cannot change to full time until you have completed a level.
We have 3 semesters per year. Semesters are 16 weeks in duration and consist of twelve weeks of study and four weeks for assessment processes. If you submit and pass all of your module learning outcomes within the 12 weeks of study, you would have a four week break between semesters.
There are two semesters per level if you choose to study full time and four semesters per level if you choose to study part time.
You can choose to study full time 'fast track' which means that you would study continuously, without taking a semester break between levels. This means that you could complete three levels of a BA (Hons) degree within two years. Should you start out on the 'fast track' route and find after one level that you would prefer to take a semester break, you can request to do so at that time.
You can request to change from full time to part time, or to 'fast track' on completion of a level.
