IDI students now have the opportunity to become members of the British Interior Design Association. We have recently been informed by the British Institute of Interior Design (incorporating BIDA; the British Interior Design Association) that Interactive Design Institute students studying an interior design course may join BIDA as student members.

Student membership can be renewed annually until the course is completed. BIDA also allow graduates to continue with their student membership for up to two years whilst they are gaining work experience and looking for work.

The British Interior Design Association was formed in 2002 through the amalgamation of the highly respected Interior Decorators & Designers Association and the globally recognised International Interior Design Association. This organisation continues to promote high standards throughout the profession, encouraging and fostering proven design ability. The BIDA is a Member of IFI, the International Federation of Interior Architects & Designers.

Student membership is valid for one year and offers an introduction to the activities of the BIDA as a professional body and an opportunity for individual dialogue with the Association and industry professionals.

Membership is open to those studying Interior Design or Decoration.

Following completion of study, a Student member will be invited to apply for Associate membership. Further information is available from the Membership Executive.
