You’ll find the standard entry requirements for our courses listed below. However, whatever your qualifications or previous experience, we are interested in all applicants who have commitment, and are determined to succeed. We’re very flexible when it comes to admissions, and welcome applications from those without formal qualifications.

Degrees

For UK students, normally three GCSE passes at grade C or above or equivalent, and at least one GCE A2 Level at grade E or above

International students should have normally successfully completed either our international foundation course or another pre degree course in visual arts, which may be a foundation or equivalent course leading to a BTEC National Diploma/Certificate or equivalent international qualification.

For those whose first language is not English, IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550 is required.

Foundation

For UK students, normally three GCSE passes at grade C or above, and at least one GCE A2 Level at grade E or above.

International students should have completed 12 years of school education and should have a Certificate of Secondary Education, or equivalent from a vocational school or college. For those whose first language is not English, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.

Pre-Masters

An honours degree or equivalent qualification. Applications are also welcomed from those with a lower qualification and relevant professional experience. For those whose first language is not English, IELTS at 6.5 or equivalent is required.
