Latest figures for the Creative Industries

The latest statistics published by NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts. - the largest single endowment in the UK exclusively devoted to innovation) indicate that between 2009 and 2013, the creative industries in the UK will grow by 4%. This represents a growth rate that is double that anticipated in the rest of the economy.
Further, NESTA predicts that we will see as many as 180,000 creative industries contributing £85 billion to the UK economy by 2013.
