Warnings to buyers on VAT increase
- 05 January 2011
Shoppers have been warned to look carefully before they buy. Under a little known HM Revenue and Customs rule, shops have 28 days in which to adjust their prices. As a result, shoppers may see one price on the item but be faced with a higher price when they come to pay.
And there are concerns that some businesses may use the increase in VAT to increase their prices even further. The Federation of Small Businesses has said that more than 50 per cent of its members will increase prices above the VAT rise.
No increase at IDI
Here at the Interactive Design Institute we are comitted to making our courses as affordable as we can. We will not be increasing our fees as a result of the rise in VAT and instead are keeping our fees at the same level as last year for new students enrolling in February 2011.
We are now accepting applications for our degree level courses in Graphic Design, Illustration Interior Design, Photography, Interactive Media Design and Product Design
If you apply now, you can secure your place and qualify for a discount on your fees
