Universities embrace new methods of course delivery.

An increasing number of universities are recognising that attendance based study is no longer the only option available to students anxious to secure a degree level place. Many acknowledge distance learning as the future of education and are making their materials available to students online and through other forms of social media.
Changing profile of learners.

One of the pioneers of distance learning,The Open University, report that the average age of their students has dropped significantly, with 25% of their learners aged under 25 and only 10% aged 50 and over.

There is little doubt that increased student fees, the lack of available places at attendance based institutions and the demand for greater flexibility in study modes have contributed to this shift.

As more and more institutions announce their intention to raise course fees, the Interactive Design Institute have pledged to hold their fees at the same level as last year. Additionally, we offer a range of student discounts and flexible payment options and now, students enrolling on our BA Graphic Design course will be able to apply for fee and course grants to support their studies.

Grants of up to £1,495 per year are available to qualifying students.

We are now accepting applications for our degree level courses starting in June 2011. Places are still available in Graphic Design, Illustration Interior Design, Photography, Interactive Media Design and Product Design but are filling up fast.
