Eleanor Banwell - Japan
Pre Masters
Eleanor is currently studying on our Graduate Transition (Pre Masters) programme. She has a background in biochemistry, within protein design and nanotechnology. She has a PhD in Chemistry and is now working as a researcher in Tokyo. Eleanor has a GCSE in Art & Design, but had not completed any art and design related study since 1996.
Eleanor needed a Masters in Design to realise her ambition to move into a design based career. But she didn't feel she had enough practical art experience and wasn't sure where to begin, Eleanor felt she needed some basic training before moving onto something more advanced.
‘I live and work in Japan. I needed a course I could do in my spare time, that I could fit around my work and I needed it to be in English.’
Before being accepted onto the programme, Eleanor looked into several online courses but IDI was the only one she found that was accredited by a university and I really liked the fact that I was able to discuss my options before signing up.’
